Thailand Introduces Mandatory Digital Arrival Card for All Foreign Nationals – Effective May 1, 2025

Thailand is implementing a major change to its border entry procedures. Beginning May 1, 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering the country via air, land, or sea must complete the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) electronically at least three days prior to arrival.
This digital form will replace the traditional paper TM6 immigration form, aiming to streamline immigration procedures, enhance security, and support public health efforts.
What’s Changing?
Effective May 1, 2025:
-
All foreign nationals must complete the TDAC online before entering Thailand.
-
The requirement applies to tourists, business travelers, long-term visa holders, and anyone entering under visa exemption or visa on arrival.
-
The TDAC must be submitted within 72 hours (3 days) before your scheduled arrival.
How to Submit the TDAC
Travelers must complete the TDAC through the Thailand Immigration Bureau’s official portal:

📖 View the official submission manual
The submission process includes:
-
Personal information (passport, name, nationality)
-
Travel and accommodation details
-
Health declaration
-
Final review and validation
✅ Group submissions are allowed (up to 10 people).
🛠️ Most information can be updated prior to travel, but name, passport number, nationality, and date of birth cannot be changed after submission. If any of these are incorrect, a new TDAC must be submitted.
Required Information
To complete the TDAC, have the following ready:
-
Passport details: Name, number, nationality, date of birth
-
Travel information: Flight number, port of entry, purpose of visit
-
Accommodation: Address of stay in Thailand
-
Contact information: Mobile number and email address
-
Health declaration (if prompted)
After Submission
Once submitted:
-
You’ll receive a digital TDAC by email.
-
Save it on your smartphone and/or print a copy.
-
Present it at immigration upon arrival in Thailand.
Avoid Delays
-
Failure to submit the TDAC prior to arrival may result in immigration delays.
-
If travelers arrive without completing the form, immigration officers can assist onsite—but processing will be slower.
-
Operators should incorporate TDAC submission into their pre-trip documentation checklist for all flights into Thailand starting May 1.
-
Group or short-notice trips will require advance coordination to ensure compliance.
Additional Details
-
The TDAC is not a visa and does not replace any visa requirements.
-
All information must be submitted in English.
-
The online system supports multiple languages, including English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese.
The Bigger Picture
The TDAC system is part of Thailand’s broader digital transformation in tourism and immigration, integrated with:
-
The E-Visa system
-
Health monitoring protocols
-
Upcoming tourist fee collection platforms
These efforts are designed to create a more efficient and secure experience for international travelers while supporting national public health and tourism initiatives.
